News & Information
The University of Arizona Fission Track Laboratory offers competitive rates for undertaking apatite and zircon fission track analysis, either as part of a project collaboration, or on a contract basis.
For mineral separation services I work in partnership with Tucson-based ZirChron LLC.
For more information please don't hesitate to contact me. More details are provided on my FT Lab page.
After a few requests for full apatite fission track count and track length data (as well as apatite (U-Th)/He data) from some of my older publications where the full data are not available in the supplementary information, I have uploaded some of these data (for example from the Patagonian Andes of southern Chile) to Figshare.
Links to these data are in the Online Data submenu under the Publications menu above, and should be suitable for import into thermal modeling software such as HeFTy and QTQt.
If you have arrived at my website to request some Madagascar (MAD) apatite as a U-Pb and/or T/REE reference material (as described in our 2012 G-Cubed paper "Routine low-damage apatite U-Pb dating using laser ablation multicollector ICPMS") then, unfortunately, due to popular demand I have now run out of stock of the original batch of chips characterized by ID-TIMS in that paper. We have been exploring using similar gem-rough Madagascar apatite, so check out this website for any new information. If you have any questions please contact me.
